The Association sees its purpose in engaging itself in order to help in improving and deepening the economic relations between the member States of the European Community as well as in encouraging economic contacts to third Countries outside the European Community.

The wish of the European Community to build up balanced economic conditions is one of the leitmotifs of the Association.

The Association is neutral as regards beliefs and political parties. The Association maintains and promotes its economic contacts independently of the EU Institutions which obviously look after the economic interests principally in line with the requirements of the European Government and authorities of the European Community. The Association, however, will turn to the individual, engaged enterprise, offering an ample programme of multiple services, and aims at helping these enterprises, above all small and medium
enterprises, to facilitate or develop the exploitation and the advantages of the aperture of the interior market.

The Association serves for the purpose of self-help for small and medium enterprises in view of getting informed about their possibilities of financial assistance, the application therefore and its exploitation.

The Association aspires as well to collaboration with the EU-Authorities as to that with the different Government Authorities.

In commercial contacts with countries not belonging to the European Community, the Association principally acts in a bilateral way, that is, according to its statutes the Association defends the interests of the Economy of both countries thus promoting the economic relations in both ways.

The Association considers one of its principle aims to generally safeguard the preservation of existing working places and the creation of new jobs at European level.

The Association may also act as a promoter within its field of action and in the meaning of the statutes.

The Association aims exclusively at non-lucrative objects of directly public utility, within the meaning of "objects with tax privileges of the tax regulations" according to the finance bill, and it is not directed towards obtaining benefits and dividends.

If there is a surplus, this will be employed for the promotion of the purposes according to the statutes, if it does not serve as necessary fund according to the decision of the regular management. There will be no distribution of dividends.
